McGregor residents can rely on our local Aitkin, Carlton, and West St. Louis Counties teams to restore fire, smoke, and soot damage “Like it never even happened.” In 2018, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) reported that more than 19,500 firework fires occurred on Independence Day.
What fireworks are legal in Minnesota? According to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, legal fireworks must not be explosive, cannot be an aerial firework (fireworks packaging cannot leave the ground), and must contain less than 500 grams of pyrotechnic powder for multi-tube fireworks, with less than 75 grams of pyrotechnic powder per tube.
For safety’s sake, we urge residents to celebrate the Fourth of July by attending public fireworks show nearby. Join your community this year for a public fireworks display. Celebrate together under the stunning bursts of color and light. It’s a spectacular, safe way to enjoy the festivities while supporting local events. Don’t miss out on the magic—make it a night to remember with friends and family. The Explore Minnesota website offers information on public fireworks displays each year.
